Job Description:
IILM University is looking for an experienced, competent, and committed professional for the position of Head of Department for Electronics and Communications Engineering and Mechanical Engineering
Responsibilities:
- Contribute to the formation of the strategy and plans at the Departmental level.
- Contribute to the planning and managing of the Department's human, financial and physical resources with particular responsibility for the management and development of teaching laboratories.
- Oversee the mentoring and career development of academic staff, specifically ECRs and lecturers.
- Assist with the management of the Department's academic staff, including allocation of workloads, staff development and performance reviews, recruitment and selection, health and safety.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as periodically agreed with the Dean Engineering.
- Interact with industry to keep curriculum current and relevant.
Qualification, Experience and Desired Skills:
- PhD in related field with a commitment to nurturing talent across teaching, research and administration.
- Preferred strong linkages with industry and academia at National and International level.
- Experience with the development of new programmes, including curricula, and assessment.
- Prior experience as HoD in reputed universities and institutions
