Job description

Key Role Deliverables

Stakeholder Management

  • Monitoring legal/technical vendors for the quality of work, turnaround time, etc, and ensuring that Varthana gets the best out of them
  • Visiting spoke locations for business development

Portfolio Management

  • Developing and Managing the School Loans portfolio for the branch. This includes onboarding, monitoring, management, and recovery of school institution loans for the branch.
  • Ensuring that the portfolio losses are within the portfolio threshold through following appropriate early warning practices by the team and taking appropriate account-level action when necessary.
  • Ensuring that the team and the portfolio are audit compliant and ready at all times.

Code Of Conduct

  • Developing and Implementing appropriate due diligence processes to ensure that the policy parameters are adhered to by the credit team while onboarding new clients
  • Understanding the local best practices in underwriting, monitoring, and tailoring makes processes when necessary

Preferred Profile

  • Minimum Education Qualification: Graduation / Post Graduation from a reputed institution
  • 10+ years of experience in Retail banking / SME credit management
  • Team player and motivating the team members to achieve the goals
  • Influential Communication in English and Local Language
  • Analytical skills and ability to process data on computer spreadsheets
  • Comfortable in assessing clients without access to audited financials
  • Deep understanding of risk and its various dimensions like operational risk, credit risk, market risk, etc
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the city
