Job description

1. Understanding and interpreting the P & ID.

1. Selecting the right instrument as per the process requirement.

1. Preparing detailed specification/ datasheets of Instruments like Pressure Gauge, Differential pressure gauge, DP Transmitter, Pressure Transmitter, Temperature Transmitter, Level Transmitter, Level Gauge, Cable, Cable Tray, Junction Box & Cable gland etc.

1. Knowledge of Hazardous area classification and selection of instruments for hazardous area.

1. Preparing Instrument Index.

1. Preparing Instrument Hookup drawings.

1. Preparing cable schedule.

1. Sizing of Inline instruments like flow meters, control valves, safety valves etc.

1. Familiarization with PLC/ DCS systems configuration, IO assignment etc.

1. Familiarization with preparation of Instrumentation cost estimate.

1. Familiarization with Indian & International standards on Instrumentation.

1. He should have worked on Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI) software.
