Role Overview We are looking for a seasoned professional with expansive Strategy Research and/or Consulting, and notable Research/Knowledge Product Development and Management, experience, and a Consultative and Business Impact oriented mindset. The ideal candidate will play an instrumental role in servicing Escalent's plans to integrate and/or productize Generative AI and Desk/Secondary Research capabilities/offerings without losing time and quality.
Typically, Project Managers (PMs)- Own accounts and independently lead business development efforts among current and prospective clients.
- Possess distinctive domain and/or methodological knowledge and leverage it to serve high-performing industry leaders.
- Own and deliver strategic research and consulting engagements, leading creation of analytical plans, guiding the team to conduct appropriate research and analyses, and presenting findings to clients.
- Participate in designing and streamlining organizational processes and strategic decisions such as building new capabilities and/or products within the firm, and supporting growth and development of the team as well as new propositions.
This role will report to the Head of Generative AI & Secondary Productization; and will be a core part of an internal Center of Excellence (COE) that's focused on formulating Escalent's Gen AI and Product strategy from the perspective of developing marketable products/solutions as well as integrating Gen AI tools/capabilities into internal research/consulting/corporate function workflows.
Responsibilities Detailed responsibilities follow:
Overall - Assume end-to-end ownership of key strategic initiatives, with leading role in scoping, planning, and executing.
- Demonstrate a strong capability to link findings and recommendations to expected business impact.
- Present findings and recommendations, while explaining approach and rationale, to senior/executive leadership, as and when needed.
- [Over time] Develop strong subject matter expertise and gravitas, especially in Generative AI.
Generative AI and Secondary Research Productization - Identify marketable research/consulting-focused product ideas in Generative AI and/or Desk/Secondary Research, by:
- Working closely with sales leaders to unearth (unmet/partially met) client needs, and
- Conducting broad yet in-depth competitive landscaping.
- Ensure timely and high-quality execution and outcomes, by:
- Building analytical plans and securing upfront buy-in from relevant stakeholders.
- Leading a team to conduct research and analysis as per standard industry protocols using multiple methodologies.
Internal Generative AI Integration - Research and Consulting Workflows
- Identify use cases for Generative AI within Research & Consulting workflows.
- Conceptualize and execute Proofs-of-Concept for each use case, with assigned team + other delivery leaders/teams as applicable.
- Generate recommendations on specific use cases for implementation.
- Corporate Function Workflows
- Generate ideas for Generative AI integration within Sales, Marketing, HR, Finance, etc.
- Work closely with domain-focused teams to determine applicability of the ideas.
- Partner with internal leadership to build an implementation timeline for each shortlisted idea.
- Oversee execution and implementation of each idea, in partnership with internal/vendor teams.
- Tool Evaluation and Recommendation
- Liaise with various Generative AI tool vendors to secure trial licenses.
- Test various tools to assess their applicability and value-add for each use case/workflow.
- Partner with Compliance and IT teams to vet shortlisted tools from an InfoSec and commercial perspective.
- Prepare recommendations on the appropriate tool mix, including the build vs. buy question.
Product Marketing - Work with enterprise marketing and other internal team(s) to prepare product dossiers, thought leadership POVs, consultative whitepapers, etc.
- Support revenue growth by providing product/domain/subject matter expertise during sales conversations, proposal discussions, project designs and client discussions.
Candidate Profile - Education:
- MBA / Post Graduation from a reputed management institute.
- Experience:
- 8-10 years in delivering Strategic Research & Insights engagements across industries, focused on international markets.
- Solid experience of leading project-based engagements and delivering findings to senior/executive client and internal stakeholders.
- Strong exposure to driving revenue growth through Account Farming and Business Development support, as well as developing productized Research/Knowledge offerings.
- Strong exposure to internal process innovation/automation.
- Methodological / Tool Expertise:
- Must Have: proficiency in Desk Research and Syndicated Data Analysis
- Good-to-Have: working knowledge of Quantitative Primary Research, Qualitative Primary Research, Social Media Listening/Analytics and Process Analytics/Innovation.
- Good-to-Have: working knowledge of Gen AI tools, such as ChatGPT, Dall.E, Perplexity AI, etc.
