Job description
The Fundraising Coordinator is a key role in helping the Centre for Wildlife Studies (CWS) to grow the scale and impact of our programs. The position engages with CWS staff to develop grant proposals, build CSR networks, and develop new fundraising opportunities. The role requires constant interactions and collaboration with all teams at CWS.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist the Executive Director and senior team in funding and funding related outreach work at CWS.
Develop and write proposals for any CWS programs and projects. Coordination of CWS staff involved in planning, writing, and editing proposals with frequent progress review and feedback with CWS senior management.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all submissions, grant-funded projects and donors in relevant databases, and filing systems in coordination with the CWS accounts team.
Identify new funding opportunities and liaise with potential donors. Manage retail/crowdfunding platforms.
Maintain donor databases for all fundraising activities, ensuring timely submissions and contractual obligations.
Manage and coordinate fundraising campaigns and events with crowdfunding platforms. Submit donor reports that meet requirements and contractual obligations, ensuring that they are of a high standard and submitted on time.
Manage Donor management platforms like Salesforce NPSP/Zoho etc.
REQUIRED SKILLS
This position demands a dynamic individual with a demonstrated ability to achieve the required results in a demanding and fast paced environment, managing time effectively, and adapting priorities to respond to changing demands and tight deadlines.
Proven track record of writing successful proposals for research and conservation programs, preferably in the wildlife and environment sector. 2-3 years of experience in fundraising.
Experience and familiarity with CSR networks and funding opportunities in India.
Excellent writing and research skills and computer literacy. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
Good spoken and written communication skills (preferably English) as well as interpersonal skills.
Strong analytical (data/evidence gathering, analysis and interpretation, hypotheses framing and validation) and research capabilities.
Strong excel, communication, storytelling and presentations capabilities.
Comfort with technology usage and products.
