Job Title - Category Lead- Product Development Location - Navi Mumbai (R&D sector) Experience - Min 10+ years
Requiremen t- We are looking for a highly skilled product development engineer who will work towards end to end product development as per design specifications. Development engineers will convert the design intent in manufacturable product. He will handle fans and appliances product portfolio. Major Areas of Responsibilities • Leading the Product Development initiatives for assigned product category. • Regular review of projects with team members and extending required timely support. • Coaching team members to make them future ready as per requirement. • Preparing Management reports and KPI tracking for category. • Review designs for manufacturability and assembly by providing inputs at design level for plastic, metal, rubber, coated components. Provide design inputs towards fit and finish, probable variations considering manufacturing process • Using 3D modelling software, identify design change opportunities and ability to communicate the design well with development ecosystem • Development of all new components as per specification and defines quality requirements (Except Mold and Press Tools). • Development of factory production line setup as per capacity requirement. • Development of Jigs & Fixtures, SPM required for new concept products/processes. • Assess component development vendor and manufacturing process at vendor for fit for the purpose of component development and recommend for new developments. • Interact with Industrial design, engineering design and packaging design teams for reviewing and analyzing component and product reports • Tracking the change history of the design and specification and creating learning documents. • Prototype development for new concept projects to validate the concepts • Prototype assembly and feed-back sharing with ED & concerned team to improve the design concepts. • Review manufacturing BOM from time to time and advise the ED teams • Interact with the vendors supplying the products for assessment and ensure desired targets of product improvement and approval of the product is carried out diligently • Undertake components trials and resolve issues at hand during manufacturing • Prepare a consolidated report on the observations and recommend conclusion along with corrective actions on observations. • Collaborate with validation teams, engineering design teams and quality department • Conduct N10,N100 & Pilot mass production for new concept projects. • Support suppliers for challenges faced post pilot lot for ensuring their production is feasible • Process flow finalization for new products to ensured consistent product quality • Process documents deployment at manufacturing locations • Ensure Fit & finish of the product as per design intent • Responsible for development of components towards VE and Quality improvement for concept projects • Collaborate with CFT for New supplier audit and improvements to onboard the new suppliers as per new project requirement • Process validation for alternate material or new process implementation at manufacturing locations Essential Qualification : BE Mechanical / BE Production Interested candidates can share your resume in below mentioned email ID with subject line- Category Lead- Product Development.
