Job description
Role Purpose The purpose of the Teradata Developer role is to play a vital role in the ongoing migration of on premises Teradata to the cloud, ensuring the success of this critical initiative. The Teradata Developer will work closely with the team to make informed decisions about the company's requirements, using their expertise to guide Expedia Group towards successful migration in stipulated time. The candidate must be able to work independently and collaboratively. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & ACTIVITIES
In depth knowledge of Teradata Architecture, SQL, Teradata database and utilities Extensive knowledge of data warehousing Strong understanding of logical and physical designs used in developing Database schemas like Star schema and Snowflake schema used in dimensional modeling Expertise in the Teradata for better query running performance Good knowledge in Unix/Shell scripting. Good in analyzing the source systems. Develop, maintain, and enhance ETL processes using Informatica Hands on experience in migrating Teradata to Vantage on AWS would be great Strong knowledge of AWS cloud services, including EC2, S3, and RDS Familiarity with migration tools such as Teradata Migration Suite, Data Mover Knowledge, Skills and Experience Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field 3+ years of experience in ETL development and data engineering Strong knowledge of Informatica, Teradata, and SQL Server Familiarity with Stonebranch, SQL Server (SSIS/SSAS), Looker, DataPull, Airflow, and shell scripting is a plus Proficiency in SQL programming and query optimization Experience in data modeling and database design Ability to work independently and in a team environment Excellent problem solving and analytical skills Excellent Problem Solving And Analytical Skills Qualifications 3+ years of Teradata developer role Bachelor's/ Master s Degree in the area of Computer Science & Engineering Strong understanding of Travel & Leisure domain, business processes General understanding of data models and various IT platforms/solutions Strong analytical skills, organizational, and problem solving skills Exceptional eye for detail.Job tags
