Position: Design Lead - UI/UX & Graphic Design Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Working: 6 days
Job Description: We are on the lookout for an enthusiastic and experienced Design Lead to spearhead our design team in Bengaluru, India. This pivotal role involves leading a dynamic team focused on UI/UX and graphic design, primarily for Healthcare products. The ideal candidate will blend their profound design knowledge with exemplary leadership and mentorship capabilities, cultivating an environment of collaboration and innovation. Key Responsibilities: - Team Leadership & Collaboration: Guide the design team in crafting intuitive, user-centric, and aesthetically pleasing designs for Healthcare products. You will be the driving force in fostering team collaboration, encouraging innovative design thinking, and ensuring high-quality design execution. - Design Standards & Processes: Establish and enforce rigorous design standards and processes to guarantee consistency and excellence across all design outputs. Your role will be crucial in upholding the visual and usability standards of our products. - Cross-functional Partnership: Work closely with product managers and engineers, transforming product visions into compelling design solutions. Your ability to bridge product requirements with creative design will be essential for the successful realization of our projects. - User Research & Insights: Engage in comprehensive user research to gather vital insights, translating them into effective design strategies. Your expertise will ensure that user feedback and behavior are at the heart of our design decisions. - Mentorship & Development: Invest in the professional growth of your team members through continuous feedback, coaching, and career development opportunities. You will be instrumental in nurturing the next generation of design talent. - Design Advocacy: Promote the significance of design across the organization, establishing solid relationships with various teams. Your role involves advocating for design thinking and ensuring its integration into our corporate culture. - Trend Analysis & Innovation: Keep abreast of the latest design trends and technologies, proactively integrating innovative solutions into our design practice. Your forward-thinking approach will contribute to keeping our products at the forefront of design excellence. - Resource Management: Oversee design budgets and resources, optimizing their use to achieve the greatest impact. Your strategic management will ensure project success and operational efficiency. Qualifications: - Experience: At least 8-10 years in a design leadership role, with a demonstrated ability to lead and develop design teams in a fast-paced setting. - UI/UX Expertise: Extensive knowledge of UI/UX design principles, including but not limited to, user research, prototyping, and iterative design processes. - Accessibility Knowledge: Familiarity with accessibility standards and guidelines, such as WCAG, to ensure our designs are inclusive and accessible to all users. - Industry Experience: Prior experience in the healthcare sector or with designing healthcare-related products is highly desirable. - Technical Skills: Proficiency in industry-standard design tools (Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Creative Suite), and a knack for creating animations, motion graphics, and video editing will be considered a plus. - Communication Skills: Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, capable of effectively conveying design concepts to a varied audience. - Educational Background: A bachelor’s degree in design, communication, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field is required.
