Work Timings: 24*7 Rotational shifts

Job Summary:
As a Splunk Engineer, the candidate is expected to provide technical insights, help, and support to the team. Position requires the candidate to provide technical solutions and work with the team closely on the quality work, providing solution, guiding, mentoring the team.

Role and Responsibilities:

• The candidate will be working along with 24/7 engineering Level 2 and Level 3 teams. The candidate must ensure utmost quality of the service is delivered.
• Technically sound in Splunk Administration and Development
• Experience in Managing a large distributed Splunk Clustered environment consisting of Search heads, Indexers, Cluster Master, Deployer, Deployment Server and Heavy/Universal forwarders.
• Experience in Syslog, Splunk Event Collection (HEC) and Windows Event Collection Services.
• Experience in Developing Splunk Dashboards, Reports, Alerts, Visualizations and Optimize searches.
• Experience in Log parsing, lookups, calculated fields, extractions using regex.
• Experience with one or more of the Splunk addons like DBConnect, ServiceNow, AWS, Azure, Kafka etc
• Strong experience in deploying applications to various Splunk components.
• Strong experience in Onboarding the application data to Splunk.
• Undertakes day-to-day operational and user support.
• Maintains a close partnership with Splunk on feature requests, upgrade planning, and product roadmap alignment.
• Deploy Best Practices for developing Splunk Apps and create conceptual architecture for continuous improvement initiative.
• Strong experience in managing knowledge objects (fields, extractions, tags, event types, lookups, workflow actions, aliases, macros, and so on)
• Configures summary-based reports and data model acceleration.
• Expertise in Masking the Sensitive data.
• Provide Impact assessment for Upgrade efforts.
• Provide Impact assessment for migration efforts and coordinate migration activities!
• Experience in Splunk ITSI, creating Correlation searches, Glass tables.
• Experience in automation with programming languages like Python, Ansible
• Knowledge and Experience in GIT, Bitbucket, Bamboo, Ansible, Chef, JIRA
• Familiarity with network topology, UDP, TCP, Proxys, Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
• Understanding of Continuous Delivery and Continuous Integration.
• Experience in coordinating with onshore support teams and clients.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience on Cribl is an added advantage.

Qualifications:
• At least 2 years' experience in working with Support team.
• Demonstrates willingness to challenge both the leadership, and the team resources as appropriate.
• Flexible with working hours based on the service requirement.
• Excellent communication (written and spoken) skills.
• Demonstrates good active listening skills with an ability to interpret customers' communications, to understand the gist of the problem.
• Good technical knowledge on Splunk, Datadog, Dynatrace or sounded knowledge on any monitoring tools.
• Experience in tools such as JIRA, Confluence, ServiceNow etc.

Key Skills : Splunk Admin, Splunk Development (Proficient in writing Splunk queries), ITSI
Datadog added advantage.
