Job DescriptionFunction NameTechnical Specialist çô Crash and Safety CAEFunction TypeIndividual Contributor/Technical Management Org UnitEngineering, Research and Development (ER&D)Job FamilyEngineeringPosition level L3Scope of RoleTechnical Specialist Crash is primarily responsible for planning, managing and executing Crash domain specific project activities as per clientçös expectations w.r.t offshore deliverables while ensuring maximum team utilization & project level profitability.Area of ResponsibilityThis position is responsible to lead a crash and safety team under the supervision of CAE regional head/ SME to arrange and provide technical training and create a competitive environment and accountability among team members. You will have responsibility for:çóFore most responsibility includes maximising project team utilization while ensuring maximization of project level contribution margins. çóNeeds to ensure that adequate training related to Crash Domain is provided to the team of engineers who are working on the projec t to make sure they are fully capable of delivering project deliverables. A Project Manager is typically assisted by Team Leads who handle Team Members from Crash Team.çóCarry out regular technical crash analysis perspective activities which include interfacing w ith onsite delivery Manager or liaison for day-today operational activities.çóNeeds to mentor the team to enable them to progress i n their careers and also influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work. çóProvide necessary sup port to SMEs and other team members to help them create Knowledge Database for Crash Domain.çóDay today interaction with Onsite Man ager for Crash domain project developments. As Model Build/ Analysis phase of a module is completed, a presentation is made to the client. Suggestions/feedbacks from the client are discussed with the Program Manager, and onsite coordinator to ensure that changes are incorporated accordingly. çóCarry out performance reviews of the team periodically and addresses their concerns. He/she needs t o ensure that project milestones are met as per the schedule agreed with customer. çóHe / She would need to be conversant with TTL proprietary GEM tool to monitor project milestones and assign WBS for team members working on the project. çóAlong with the Quality Advisor, he/she needs to ensure that the processes decided in the project plan are complied with. çóHe/she is also responsible fo r ensuring that the Non-compliance Reports are closed within the stipulated time.Knowledge / Experience çô 12 to 18 years, preferabl y in automotive applicationEssential:çóShould have work experience in any CAE Pre-and Post-processor, Preferably ANSA/ /Metapost/ Primer/ /Pamcrash /Ls-Dyna and any other reverent CAE tools. çóExperience in analysis and post processing of full vehicle high spee d crash and sub system level quasi static load.çóPast experience in providing BIW / closures related counter measures and design su ggestions.çóKnowledge of optimization techniques and processes.çóExperience in CAE to test co-relation, vehicle target settings an d refinements as per latest automotive trends.çóExperience of least one complete vehicle development process. Should have experienc e in working with design and development team.çóTheoretical knowledge of finite element analysis. Good communication, report writin g, technical documentation and presentation skills. çóKnowledge of different regulatory and non-regulatory requirements.çóShould h ave cross domain basic knowledge of NVH and Durability.çóShould have handled projects with minimum team size of 10 or more. çóExpe rience in conflicts management and customer handling.Qualification: çóBE/ B. Tech / M Tech in Mechanical / Automobile Engineering from a recognized university.
