Senior UX Designer

Role Overview:

An established UX Design performer, with general competence in most and demonstrable strengths in several UX skill areas. Capable of working multiple parallel workstreams if required. Independently pursues collaborative relationships, constructive criticism, and self-improvement. Effectively demonstrates the ability to critically and objectively self-evaluate successes and failures. Actively pursues ownership and responsibility for design tasks and outcomes, whether positive or negative.

Role Overview

Trellix' s User Experience team is seeking a Senior Experience Designer. You will lead, design, and deliver experiences that solve some of cybersecurity's biggest, most challenging problems. You'll leverage your full range of design skills, from working parallel workstreams to partnering with cross-discipline teams to align business outcomes with customer value. Your contributions will empower cybersecurity professionals to do their best work under high-pressure scenarios. About Role

  • Independently complete advanced UX tasks (wire frames, prototypes, storyboards, user stories, personas, customer journeys, information architecture maps)
  • Communicate design artifacts with project team, stakeholders, and product organization leadership
  • Work with product management and UX lead to plan, prioritize, and conduct design and user research activities
  • Manage UX task plans, timelines, priorities, and outcomes
  • Influence and refine design practice
  • When needed, rapidly iterate and design steering change based on user feedback
  • Independently pursue collaborative relationships, constructive criticism, and self-improvement
  • Mentor and coach other UX practitioners
  • Align business outcomes with customer value in delivered solutions

About You

  • 5 to 7 years designing experiences, including designs that address advanced use cases and/or high cognitive load challenges
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in design, product/interaction design, graphic design or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Expert-level application of user-centered design principles and design thinking to create customer value (a portfolio that demonstrates this is required)
  • Proven history of approachable, constructive relationships with UX practitioners, internal stakeholders, and customers
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas in approachable terms tailored for varied audiences
  • Ability to independently identify experience challenges
  • Ability to lead other UX practitioners
  • Cybersecurity experience is a plus
