Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Horticultural Assistant at Krishi Cress. The Horticultural Assistant will be responsible for assisting in the daily care of the farm and crops, including planting, watering, pruning, and harvesting. This role will also involve record-keeping, maintaining farm equipment, and assisting with special projects as needed. The Horticultural Assistant will work under the direction of the Farm Manager to ensure that the crops are healthy and productive.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Horticulture, including plant biology and plant care techniques
• Ability to perform physical labor and work in all weather conditions
• Experience with general farm equipment, such as tractors, tillers, and hand tools
• Basic computer skills to maintain records and communicate with the Farm Manager
• Strong communication and teamwork skills to work collaboratively with other members of the team
• High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in Horticulture or related field preferred
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
• Passion for sustainable agriculture and commitment to sustainable farming practices
