Job Title: Plant HR (Human Resources) Manager
Job Description:
1. Recruitment and Staffing:
- Collaborate with department heads to identify staffing needs and develop recruitment strategies.
- Source, screen, and interview candidates for various positions within the plant.
- Manage the onboarding process for new hires, including orientation and training programs.
2. Employee Relations:
- Serve as a liaison between management and employees to address concerns, grievances, or conflicts.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to foster a positive work environment and ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
- Conduct investigations and disciplinary actions when necessary.
3. Performance Management:
- Implement performance management systems to assess employee performance, provide feedback, and identify areas for improvement.
- Coordinate the performance review process and provide guidance to supervisors and managers on performance evaluation techniques.
4. Training and Development:
- Identify training needs and develop training programs to enhance the skills and knowledge of employees.
- Coordinate with internal or external trainers to deliver training sessions on topics such as compliance, safety, and job-specific skills.
5. Compensation and Benefits:
- Administer compensation and benefits programs, including salary reviews, bonuses, and incentives.
- Stay updated on industry trends and benchmarks to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Manage employee benefits enrollment and serve as a resource for employee inquiries related to benefits.
6. Compliance and Regulatory Affairs:
- Ensure compliance with all applicable labor laws, regulations, and company policies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to employee matters, such as attendance, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions.
- Prepare reports and respond to audits or inquiries from regulatory agencies.
7. Health and Safety:
- Collaborate with the health and safety team to promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and other regulatory requirements.
- Participate in incident investigations and develop corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
- Several years of HR experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical environment, with a focus on plant operations.
- Strong knowledge of labor laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proficiency in HRIS (Human Resources Information Systems) and other relevant software applications.
- Certification such as PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management Certified Professional) is a plus.
