Overview As our Senior Low Code Developer, your role will be pivotal in harnessing the Microsoft Power Platform's capabilities to develop cutting-edge applications that seamlessly integrate with the Lummus ecosystem. You'll delve into complex Power Apps and Power Automates, transforming business requirements into strategic, solution-driven work items. Key Responsibilities - Estimation & Planning: Provide estimates for development tasks to fulfill User Story acceptance criteria and ensure timely delivery.
- Solution Design: Architect and draft strategic solutions to align with user story acceptance criteria. Act as the technical lead during ideation sessions to convert business needs into implementable designs.
- Power Platform Expertise: Develop both canvas and model-driven Power Apps, maximizing the use of Dataverse and a wide array of connectors. Implement robust Cloud and Desktop Flows with an eye on scalability and efficiency.
- Data Visualization and Reporting: Craft, fine-tune, and present insightful reports and data visualizations using Power BI. Ensure data integrations are seamless and maintain data integrity.
- Quality & Assurance: Advocate for best practices in testing and quality assurance. Diagnose and promptly resolve complex software issues, ensuring an optimized user experience.
- Technical Advisory: Serve as a Power Platform evangelist within the organization, offering insights on requirements and leveraging an in-depth understanding of possible technological solutions.
- Documentation & Continuous Deployment: Engage in the creation and maintenance of technical design documents. Drive continuous deployment and integration processes for Power Platform solutions, ensuring minimal business disruption.
- Integration with Enterprise Systems: Ensure that solutions are well-integrated with existing enterprise systems, maximizing synergy and minimizing data silos.
- Collaborative Management: Track, manage, and review work through Azure DevOps. Foster a culture of open communication and feedback, ensuring alignment with both local and global teams.
- Continuous Evolution & Learning: Stay abreast of the latest updates and features in the Power Platform universe, ensuring that Lummus is always leveraging the best and most relevant functionalities.
- Mentorship: Provide mentorship and guidance to junior developers and team members, fostering an environment of continuous learning and growth.
- User Training & Feedback: Conduct regular training sessions for end-users, gathering feedback to iterate on solutions and ensure maximum usability.
- Security & Compliance: Ensure that all developed solutions adhere to security protocols and compliance standards, protecting both company and user data.
- Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open lines of communication with stakeholders, ensuring that developments are in line with business objectives and user needs.
- UI/UX Advocacy: Champion user-centered design principles to ensure that all applications developed provide an intuitive and seamless user experience. Mockup UI/UX designs and continuously gather feedback from end-users to refine and optimize interfaces.
Qualifications - Fundamental Understanding: Clear grasp of the Software Development Life Cycle and Agile methodologies and frameworks.
- Communication: Fluent verbal and written communication abilities in English. Ability to translate technical terms and concepts into easy-to-understand language for non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaboration Tools: Proficiency in using collaboration tools such as GitHub and Azure DevOps to manage projects and work in a team environment.
- Technical Proficiencies: Hands-on experience in Power App Development (5+ years preferred). Strong development skills in PowerFx, C#, TypeScript, and expertise with a range of Microsoft Power Platform tools.
- Integration and Custom Development: Demonstrable skills in developing custom connectors, Power Apps Component Factory (PCF) controls, and integrating Power Platform with enterprise systems.
- Data Visualization: Experience in building Power BI Reports and Dashboards with multiple data sources, ensuring efficient data representation and interpretation.
- Custom Components: Experience in building custom components for PowerApps and PowerBI to enhance user experience and application functionality.
- Certifications: Power Platform or related certifications are preferred, showcasing a commitment to professional growth and expertise in the domain.
- Team Dynamics: Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced setting, excel under tight deadlines, and collaborate effectively with both local and distributed teams.
- UI/UX Sensibility: A keen eye for user interface and user experience design, ensuring developed applications are both functional and user-friendly.
- Soft Skills: Adaptable with a growth mindset, able to thrive in evolving tech landscapes.
- Passion & Drive: Hands-on, committed, and driven team player with a fervor for delivering top-tier solutions.
- Engineering Background (Nice to Have): A degree or relevant experience in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering. This background can provide valuable insights when developing applications tailored to Lummus Technology's domain.
