Senior Solution Analyst will partner with Solution Architect to enable processes to support IT landscape and provide technical vision to solve business problems. The Senior Solution Analyst together with Solution Architect will play a critical importance for Bristol Myers Squibb to enable a solution-driven culture and tailoring IT solutions to meet specific business needs. As part of the Commercialization IT team, Senior Solution Analyst will play a role in an organization’s efforts to introduce and successfully implement new technology solutions. Accountable for driving strategy and governance, solution ideation, support solution implementations, understanding the solution landscape and managing technology risk assessments and mitigations. Act as key member of project delivery teams supporting the needs of the project while applying an enterprise mindset for developing technology roadmaps and solution models. Partners with Commercialization IT Product Owner / Business Partner(s), Business Unit stakeholders, Data Partners, and broader community of Information / Data architects across the enterprise, to develop and sustain the Commercialization IT digital strategy and target solution architecture. Key Responsibilities: Manage technology roadmaps to drive strategic Commercialization planning for IT in alignment with the BMS mission and business goals. Manage Standards and Guidelines for technical designs based on BMS’s goals and business needs. Collaborate with Data Architecture practice to shape guardrails, standards, and patterns. Ensure new technologies fit well within the existing BMS enterprise ecosystem and strategic plans. Provide direction to IT & Business colleagues on how to leverage technology to solve a business problem thru collaboration to inform business requirements Provide guidance in technology selection. Provide technical guidance to deliver solutions that are in alignment with the BMS’s business goals and priorities, secure, reliable, performant, cost-optimized and fault-tolerant. Provide oversight and coordination across portfolio of technical solutions being developed in Commercialization. Partner across functions to tackle multifaceted challenges. Partner with other integration teams to ensure seamless transitions. Deliver solutions that meet quality standards of BMS and global compliance. Examine the current systems architecture and recommend solutions that result in more effective processes and systems. Ensure solutions remain relevant in terms of the business values it was designed to deliver. Manage technology risk assessment by evaluating the risk of the application landscapes, and to plan, manage or retire technology components in a proactive way. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum of 5-7 years of experience with Information Technology and Information Management systems, designing, implementing, and / or supporting IT solutions Experience in various software designs, languages, architecture, with strong solution definition and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with computer networks and IT security management and cloud computing Good understanding of business processes in the Life Sciences Commercial domain with practical experience in project management. Must have broad technology expertise with a thorough knowledge of the principles and concepts of solution architecture ETL / transformations, and / or Business Intelligence related activities satisfying complex information needs within the Life Sciences industry Experience with Big Data, Master Data Management (MDM), Data Visualization, and / or Data Virtualization for both structured and / or unstructured data is a plus. Knowledgeable about all phases of the software development life cycle and solution delivery for web, client-server, and cloud-based systems.
