Job description
We are a leading digital agency based in Dubai. We are currently looking for an Accountant to join our dynamic team in Calicut.
Position Overview:
We are looking for a competent Accountant to join our finance department and take on a crucial role in managing financial transactions preparing financial reports and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in accounting principles exceptional attention to detail and the ability to thrive in a fastpaced IT environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Record Keeping:
l Maintain accurate and uptodate financial records for the company.
l Record daytoday financial transactions and complete the posting process.
l Reconcile bank statements and ensure financial data accuracy.
2. Financial Reporting:
l Prepare and analyze financial statements on a regular basis.
l Generate financial reports for management highlighting key financial indicators.
l Assist in budget preparation and variance analysis.
3. Compliance and Auditing:
l Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards laws and regulations.
l Assist in the preparation for internal and external audits.
l Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets.
4. Payroll Processing:
l Oversee payroll processing including salary disbursement and compliance with tax regulations.
l Manage employee benefits and deductions accurately.
5. Financial Analysis:
l Conduct financial analysis to support decisionmaking processes.
l Provide insights and recommendations for improving financial performance.
Qualifications:
l Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or related field.
l Professional certification (e.g. CPA) is a plus.
l Proven experience as an Accountant in a similar role preferably within the IT industry.
l Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
l Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
l Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
l Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with crossfunctional teams.
