About The Role

Visible Alpha seeks a Manager – HR to join our team in our Mumbai, India location. Primary responsibility will be to lead HR Operations end to end and manage the employee lifecycle for our 500+ workforce in India. This is a strategic role, where the incumbent will act as the leader of HR Operations, collaborating with Function heads, and employees and making sure that the core HR processes run like a well-oiled machine, while Visible Alpha continues to be a Great Place of Work, with best-in-class people practices. This role reports to the Director-HR Operations and Culture.

What You'll Do

  • Ensures that our HRMS system is used within HR and the company for sound decision making by taking complete ownership of the processes, solid reporting and data integrity
  • Manages a small team of HR Operations and payroll professionals
  • Ensures Visible Alpha is compliant with applicable Labor legislations related to compliance for India
  • Ensures that any performance issues and other employee concerns are addressed with the right balance of legal compliance, employee experience and performance focus
  • Overlooks the overall onboarding process for India and making onboarding a delightful experience for all who join the Visible Alpha family.
  • Manages payroll and benefits administration for Visible Alpha India
  • Supports compensation benchmarking initiatives
  • Plans and executes CSR initiatives for India, in collaboration with various internal teams
  • Promotes diversity and inclusion by supporting the committee in delivering programs
  • Preparing HR analytics and dashboards, to strengthen decision-making and people strategy
  • Supports and owns the yearend process including our performance management process, probation reviews, promotions and performance improvement culture.
  • Leads all employee engagement initiatives, implement engagement surveys, analyze feedback and implement action plans
  • Reviewing HR policies, to keep aligned with statutory changes
  • Audit HR processes and implement improvements
  • Manage talent retention to ensure that talent at Visible Alpha, is retained.
  • Ensuring seamless onboarding experience, including background verifications

Who You Are

  • At least 8+ years of HR experience in HR Operations and as a HRBP and at least 2 years of people management experience.
  • Educational Requirements: Postgraduate – specialization in HR preferred.
  • Understands HRMS systems end to end and is able to create reporting and own the system for the India office.
  • Excellent computer skills in a Microsoft Windows environment, Google Drive, Google Calendar, and PowerPoint. Must include Excel and demonstrated skills in database management and record keeping.Experience in using Google workspace.
  • Deep knowledge of India employment law and compliance.
  • Natural inclination to create win-win situations in all employee relations concerns.
  • Owns tactical plans, monitors progress and contributes to strategic decisions.
  • Acts autonomously on most decisions. Requires guidance on more complex judgments.
  • Strong and proactive Communication and Collaboration Skills: Superior written and oral communication skills; ability to present information and influence decisions; comfort working with people from diverse backgrounds and at all levels within the organization.
  • Detail orientation: This is a role that requires detail orientation to make sure all HR processes run with 100% accuracy.
  • Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Analytical thinking and project management skills.
  • Adaptability: Comfortable working in a fluid, fast-paced, rapidly growing environment; flexible to changing hiring managers' needs; maintain professionalism and composure under pressure.
  • Organizational Skills: Extremely organized; ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines; meticulous attention to detail.
  • Customer service orientation: This role requires a positive attitude and an orientation to customer service and customer delight. Strong stakeholder management skills are an absolute imperative as this role cuts across several functions in India and globally and the HR function aims at a delightful employee experience.
