Role Summary
: MES Application Engineer for a Manufacturing company with a global footprint. (Grade E1) Key Responsibilities : Part of the Global MES team, working closely with production teams at the site to provide timely Level 2 & 3 support for the MES system. Necessary MES product specific & domain training will be provided. Troubleshoot & analyse to resolve Level 2 & 3 issues. Work with the Vendor to resolve Level 3 issues identified. Coordinate and perform basic maintenance tasks, like patching Operating systems and Databases. Work on Change Requests, document requirements, and identify solutions after brainstorming with other team members. Participate remotely / at the site for ongoing Global Implementation projects in China, Europe, and North America Take ownership of the development/configuration tasks and communicate progress clearly to internal IT and business stakeholders. Assist the site team in performing OS and DB patching maintenance tasks. Build good relationships with end users and business stakeholders at the site. Qualifications/Requirements : Bachelor/master’s degree in IT, Computer Science, manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics, Industrial, Mechatronics or equivalent. Have at least 1-2 years of programming experience in .Net / Java, SQL. Experience working for Application teams with at least improvement 1-2 projects. Willing to relocate to Bengaluru; office is in Electronic City. Preferred IT Functional/Technical Skills: Participated in any one end-to-end MES and IOT rollout. Exposure to SAP ERP systems will be an advantage. Ability to query SQL databases (Microsoft SQL Server/ Oracle) Ability to understand JSON. Knowledge of Programming, Services, and Rest API will be advantageous. Basic Knowledge of Servers, Networks, Operating Systems, Scanners, and Printers will be an advantage. Soft Skills: Outspoken and Ability to converse fluently in English. Ability to quickly respond to chats and emails in English to interact with global team members. Willingness to work in a Manufacturing / IT environment.
