- Develop, oversee and maintain the flagship product of the HUSK's growing suite of applications
including the current transition from a legacy Java application to a RESTful micro-services
architecture.
- Create and maintain documentation, standard operations procedure and technical specifications.
- Manage a broad portfolio of diverse technology projects to provide web and mobile integration
solutions.
- Work with senior level stakeholders in the business to identify and define the next opportunities
and drive a game changing strategy driven by technology
- Manage application/software development to deliver technology prototypes in support of business
assessment.
- Manage technology support teams to develop business applications, or ensure business
applications have high availability (99.99%) and adequate performance, to include demonstrating
year-over-year performance improvement.
- Manage mobile application development for applications serving millions of customers.
- Work closely with senior technology leadership to develop mobile, web and data systems
delivery.
- Manage multiple scrum teams across several locations.
- Work with other departments to understand and influence the next generation of mobile products
and requirements strategy.
- Recruit, train, motivate and upskill a team of high performing software engineers.
- Managing budgets and distribution of resources.
- Overseeing adherence to cybersecurity protocols.
- Oversee front-end and back-end development teams and their projects.
- Monitor reliability and performance of all internal systems to suggest improvements.
- Review and update policies relevant to internal systems and equipment.
- Developing training materials and programs to help employees learn new skills or improve
existing skills.
- Provide technical consultation as well as expertise to Product Managers.
- Participate actively in the Scrum software development process as Scrum Master.
- Interact with different members to ensure successful delivery of each sprint iteration and product
release.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with cloud technologies and modern human-computer interfaces.
- Hands-on experience in back-end and front-end development.
- Good understanding of agile methodologies.
- Leadership abilities with a strategic mind.
- Excellent project management skills.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field.
- 10+ years professional experience in software engineering, with 5+ years in a leadership role.
- Expertise in multiple programming languages, including Java, C#, .Net and Python and react or
angular technologies.
- Experience with big data platforms, such as Hadoop and Spark.
- Strong understanding of algorithms, data structures, and software design patterns
- Ability to develop high-quality, scalable, and reliable software.
Qualifications - Work experience as a director of engineering or in a similar senior-level position at an
engineering department.
