Engineering and Operations Services Procurement Specialist
Job Summary
Support Engineering and Operations Department to source, negotiate and purchase various parts and services.
Source and negotiate indirect materials for Engineering and Operation Departments.
Assist Operation and Engineering Departments to monitor expenditure and budget.
Key person in managing all vendors / suppliers to improve supply and service.
Key Responsibilities
Support Engineering Department in the following areas:
- Support to source and negotiate services for breakdown, preventive maintenance (machinery service agreement).
- Support Project Himalayas
- Follow through and monitor outstanding purchase, delivery and administration of POs processes.
- Source, negotiate and procure project related parts and services for.
- Administration and issuance of Purchase Orders in SAP system and maintaining of purchasing records.
Support Operation Department in the following areas:
- Assist to source, negotiate and purchase tools, equipment, instruments, production consumables items such as hair net, glove, shoe cover and others.
- Support to source and negotiate services for plant operation (service contract for Waste Management, Wastewater Treatment, Pest Control and others).
- Assist to source and negotiate services from vendors to support various activities in Start-up of new India Plant.
- Administration and issuance of Purchase Orders in SAP system and maintaining of purchasing records.
- Verify delivery order / tax invoice against POs and update SAP system.
- Liaise with Finance on asset related purchase, Cost Centre allocation and payment process
Sources, negotiate and purchase indirect materials for other departments as required :
- Source and negotiate for the best deal in term of quality product and price.
- Monitor; follow up delivery of all indirect materials on time according to implementation deadline.
- Ensure individual departments receive their goods and update SAP system.
Key person in maintaining and managing all vendors / suppliers to improve supply and service Maintain company policy or requirements Assist Operation to monitor expenditure and budget
Qualifications/Requirements
- Minimum 3 years in manufacturing company in similar positions. And at least 1 year working experience in food/Beverage industry.
- Technical Knowledge Area:
- Solid technical knowledge in various equipment, tools and indirect materials.
- Sound negotiation skill to bargain the best option for all.
- Leadership style:
- Dynamic, proactive and results-oriented influence. Think logically. Takes the view of others.
- Analytical Ability:
- Decision making based on accurate data
- Diploma or Degree in Purchasing, Supply Chain and Procurement.
- Language: Intermediate / advance level of English
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Location:
- This position will be primarily based at India, with minimum travelling (maximum 5% of work time under normal conditions).
- Trips include occasional visits or training at other concentrate plants, bottling operations and training centres.
