Job description
We are seeking a Junior Technical Support Engineer with hands-on experience in Application and Production Support to oversee a critical project for one of our key clients in the banking domain, focusing on SRE/DevOps roadmap. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently or as part of a larger team.
Technical Skills:
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in Application Production Support on Linux platforms.
- Strong technical troubleshooting skills.
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Shell and automation.
- Familiarity with ITIL practices including Incident, Change, and Release management.
- Basic knowledge of Middleware technologies, particularly Apache Tomcat.
- Experience with application monitoring tools like Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, and Prometheus.
- Proficiency in AutoSys or similar scheduling mechanisms.
- Experience with DevOps CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Ansible, uDeploy, etc.
- Familiarity with the Banking domain is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of databases, particularly Oracle SQL.
- Understanding of Infrastructure Technologies including Linux, Windows, Middleware, and Databases.
- Knowledge of DevOps SRE, Automation, and cloud technologies is a plus.
Process Skills:
- Strong understanding of ITSM processes.
- Preferably, familiarity with SDLC.
- Serve as the first point of contact for application incidents.
- Identify, diagnose, and resolve functional and technical problems.
- Ensure the delivery of quality services in accordance with agreed service level agreements.
- Clearly understand the client's business to recommend, provide, and support application services.
