Job description
The Sr Engineer - Civil, Hardscapes & Façade is responsible for overall maintenance of building infrastructure. He will be ensuring safe and efficient work practices in civil work execution, manage infrastructure maintenance activities and overseeing facility maintenance with respect to the civil works department. He will ensure efficient façade maintenance and hardscape maintenance.
Job Accountabilities Responsible for taking care of daily building civil repair and maintenance activities. Ensure efficient planning for material management, labour and co-ordination with business functions. Ensure inventory of material in store is carried out periodically. Responsible for Façade maintenance, facility Inspection, hardware and fitment maintenance, labour and materials management, quality inspection, safety and hazard identification, building interior and exterior infrastructure maintenance, Interior / exterior building aesthetics, pavement maintenance, etc. Responsible for reviewing civil engineering drawings, preparing of site work procedures, method statements, coordination of design changes for site conditions and requirements, control of vendor works. Ensure the quantity of materials utilized is confirming with drawings or site requirements Responsible for tiling, ACP sheets work, civil maintenance repair such as painting, Ceiling work, carpentry and painting, façade and canopy maintenance, glass replacement and hardscape structure maintenance. Responsible for analysing water leakages and plan for rectification. The Position holder must comply with JWC Health and Safety rules and the Life Safety Code. Attendance of all meetings with all the stake-holders, as required. Skills/Competencies Required Knowledge of one or more Engineering disciplines of Civil, Mechanical etc. Knowledge of Building material like marbles, tiles, paints, wood, etc. for civil repairs. Knowledge of process of painting, carpentry, masonry and polishing works Knowledge of façade glass, structures, supports and cleaning systems. The ability to absorb technical system / product knowledge and provide training to others. Strong communication skills with command of the English language (both written and oral). Strong eye for detail and identifying loopholes. Ability to manage a sense of urgency and timelines. Ability to demonstrate problem solving and ability to handle various projects simultaneously under tight deadlines. Strong project management skills. Ability to be a team player who is able to work with others in a sometimes stressful environment. Multi-tasker with excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to work productively in a fast paced and diverse environment. Readiness to work in varied flexible shifts, including weekends or holidays. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (Mandatory) 7 years plus civil engineering experience Candidates from Hospitality Industry preferred Experience with AutoCAD Strong organizational, analytical, communication skills and design skillsJob tags
