- The Brand Manager would be responsible for managing the various aspects of the musical instruments / accessories' brands assigned by the company and ensuring that the brands are adequately represented across India.
Purchase planning:- Evaluate brand catalogues, identify focus products and select products for our market, considering price-points and appropriateness of products.
- Track sell-through of purchased products, across verticals (Retail, Online and Distribution).
- Prepare annual order projections and place orders at regular intervals.
- Ensure sufficient stocking of spares.
Competition analysis:- Identifying competitors in the industry and analysing different marketing strategies.
- Make strategic assessments of current and potential competitors in the market.
Relationships with stakeholders:- Build strong relationships with principals, musicians, music teachers, important dealers.
- Engage in getting regular feedback on products and services from various stakeholders.
- Send regular marketing updates to the principals, with detailed reports on social media campaigns, analytics and successes.
- Share a good rapport with your artists and look after their requirements within reason.
- Address customer queries and complaints.
Marketing campaigns (in close collaboration with Content / Marketing team)- Provide the content/marketing/sales teams with complete fact sheets that include special features / hi-resolution images of products we import.
- Create brand strategies to boost sales and develop brands.
- Work on special campaigns to move open box, and display products.
- Register an @furtadosmusic account online; identify and keep up with the latest social media trends.
- Update brand pages with relevant content.
- Initiate and oversee specialized newsletters catering to specific interests.
- Source product videos - from principals and locally made.
- Answer customer queries generated through these portals.
- Study the music scene in the country, be aware of the bands and artists who engage in curating high quality content.
- Look out for social media influencers and up-and-coming musicians who can be brand ambassadors or endorsees; develop promotional strategies engaging them.
- Regularly engage in commenting and sharing content relevant to the brands and artists you work with.
- Keep a tab on results for all activities you engage in.
