Job description

Software QA Manual Tester

We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Mid-Level Software QA Manual Tester to join our Quality Assurance team. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in manual testing, a solid understanding of software development processes, and the ability to identify and report defects effectively. As a Mid-Level Software QA Manual Tester, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software applications.

Responsibilities :

  1. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and business analysts to understand software requirements and use cases.
  2. Create comprehensive test plans and test cases based on project specifications and user stories.
  3. Execute manual testing procedures to identify and report defects, ensuring the software meets quality standards.
  4. Perform regression testing to verify bug fixes and enhancements.
  5. Analyze and document test results, including defects and test coverage.
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely and successful test execution.
  7. Participate in test case reviews and provide feedback to improve test coverage and accuracy.
  8. Assist in the development and maintenance of test data and test environments.
  9. Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes and methodologies.
  10. Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and emerging trends in software quality assurance.

Qualifications :

  1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  2. Proven experience as a Manual QA Tester in software testing, with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
  3. Strong understanding of software testing principles, methodologies, and processes.
  4. Proficiency in creating test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  5. Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, or similar).
  6. Familiarity with agile and iterative development methodologies (e.g., Scrum).
  7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  8. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective defect reporting and collaboration with team members.
  9. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  10. Relevant certifications (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus.
