Purpose of the Job :

The Finance Director India ensures the formulation and implementation of the Finance & Accounting strategy for both Nutreco India and Eruvaka are in line with the BU strategy and corporate guidelines. To ensure the reliability of financial information and contribute to the realization of the business strategies for India (both Nutreco India and Eruvaka), she/ he should be able to act as a business partner for General Managers.

The Finance Director India is responsible and accountable for the full scope of finance and control for both Nutreco India and Eruvaka which includes various production locations;

Besides being able to act as the 'wing woman/man' for the General Managers and having the 'Finance & IT' house in order ('no surprises'), this role will manage both Eruvaka and Nutreco India finance teams, build effective structure, support and guide Financial Teams.

Key Areas of Responsibility (KAR's)

• Strategy (and Ambition planning): Contribute to formulation and execution of the Nutreco India & Eruvaka strategy delivery & development agenda aligned with the global strategy and approved by BU Management
• Business Analysis and support: Support and challenge Nutreco India & Eruvaka management to deliver their objectives based on concise analysis delivering actionable insights
• Planning & Rolling Forecasting: Own and drive an effective planning and 15th month rolling forecasting cycle that supports meeting business objectives nurturing cross-functional collaboration in line with global standards and guidelines
• Management reporting: Deliver high-quality management information for effective steering of the business leveraging globally developed templates and tools
• Cost & Cash Management: Secure efficient use of Nutreco India & Eruvaka resources including active pursuit of cost and working capital reduction opportunities in collaboration with line management while driving an overall cost & cash conscious business environment
• Capex management: Critical review of Investment Proposals with approval authority; own the Investment Proposal process, set standards for high quality proposals aligned with global standards while supporting the organization in meeting these standards
• Financial reporting: Secure timely submission of correct financial accounts in line with local and global (IFRS & Dutch GAP) reporting standards
• Transactional finance processes: Ensure efficient transactional finance processes leveraging global tools and processes
• Credit management: Jointly (with commercial management) responsible for effective credit management properly balancing risk and reward in line with global rules and guidelines
• Internal Control: Secure a strong internal control environment that meets global standards
• Claims management: Supervises and controls the handling of claims, within corporate guidelines, to guarantee a balance between the financial (economic) risks and the costs of insurance.
• Tax management: Ensures the handling of local tax matters, in line with corporate tax guidelines, in order to comply with relevant local tax rules and legislation.
• Treasury management: Ensure efficient local treasury management and financing for business in line with corporate guidelines
• Management support: Act as sparring partner to and replacement of the Nutreco India General Manager and Eruvaka General manager (second in command)
• Finance Management: Manage and lead the Nutreco India and Eruvaka finance functions; define and execute the finance functional development agenda aligned with the global finance functional development agenda
• IT Management: Manage the Nutreco India IT function; support the Business IT manager in defining and executing the IT agenda aligned with the global IT agenda
• Global Finance: Contribute to the overall development and professionalization of the BU and Division Finance function

Requirements

• Academic level, Master in Business Economics, Business Administration, or comparable
• 10 -15 years of experience in financial roles out of which should have led high-performing teams for at least 3 years
• Preferably experience in a Feed/animal nutrition/health and/or IT/Technology/Agritech and industrial organization. Strong experience with manufacturing business is required as a hands-on approach is required.
• Experience in the integration of businesses
• Capable to build and maintain effective and motivated teams
• Experience with leading IT functions and implementing ERP systems.
• International working experience or experience in global (matrix) operating companies.
• Should be well versed with Indian taxation, FEMA, GST and transfer pricing laws
• Good (preferably fluent) in English
• Preferably good or fluent in Spanish
• Willing to travel within India and to Latin America (on a need basis)

Additional Remarks

The role requires a strong and independent financial professional who has experience working in a matrix organization (direct reporting line into Finance Director Asia and functional reporting line into General Manager)
