Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Accountant proficient in Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Return filing. The ideal candidate will have a 3+ years of experience in understanding of financial operations, regulatory compliance, and the ability to ensure accuracy and timeliness in financial reporting and tax obligations.
Roles & Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable (AR):
- Monitor customer accounts to ensure payments are up-to-date.
- Reconcile AR balances and resolve discrepancies.
Accounts Payable (AP):
- Process supplier invoices and ensure timely payments.
- Reconcile AP records with supplier statements.
- Maintain accurate records of all transactions related to AP.
Income Tax Return (ITR) Filing:
- Prepare and file income tax returns for the company in compliance with local regulations.
- Ensure all deductions, credits, and other tax-related items are accurately reflected.
- Keep abreast of changes in tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
Goods and Services Tax (GST) Filing:
- Calculate, prepare, and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns.
- Reconcile GST liability and input tax credit.
- Stay updated with GST regulations and amendments.
Financial Reporting:
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records.
- Provide financial analysis and insights as required.
Compliance and Audit:
- Assist in internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax laws, and regulations.
- Implement best practices in financial and tax reporting.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with the finance team, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments and external parties regarding financial matters.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Proven experience as an Accountant with expertise in AR, AP, Return filing.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office, especially Excel.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
