Job Title: Hospitality Accountant

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Hospitality Accountant to join our team in the hospitality industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, possess knowledge of GST regulations, be proficient in using Tally software, and have experience in financial filing and audit processes. The Hospitality Accountant will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Responsibilities:

1. **Financial Record Maintenance:**

  - Maintain and update financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries.

  - Ensure accuracy and completeness in all financial transactions.

2. **GST Compliance:**

  - Stay updated on GST regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws.

  - Prepare and file GST returns in a timely manner.

  - Provide necessary documentation and support during GST audits.

3. **Tally Software Management:**

  - Proficiently use Tally software for daily accounting tasks, data entry, and reconciliation.

  - Generate and analyze financial reports from Tally to facilitate decision-making.

4. **Financial Reporting:**

  - Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.

  - Provide financial reports to management for review and analysis.

5. **Budgeting and Forecasting:**

  - Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts based on historical data and industry trends.

  - Monitor actual financial performance against budgeted expectations.

6. **Audit Coordination:**

  - Collaborate with internal and external auditors to ensure a smooth audit process.

  - Address audit queries and provide necessary documentation and explanations.

7. **Compliance and Regulation:**

  - Stay informed about changes in accounting standards and regulations affecting the hospitality industry.

  - Implement and enforce financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance.

8. **Team Collaboration:**

  - Work collaboratively with other departments to gather necessary financial information.

  - Provide financial insights and guidance to support decision-making.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Professional certification such as CA, CMA, or ACCA is a plus.

- Proven experience as an accountant in the hospitality industry.

- In-depth knowledge of GST regulations and compliance.

- Proficiency in using Tally software.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.

- Effective communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
