Quantitative Strategist
About Us: Alphextra is a leading algorithmic trading firm currently focused on the Indian stock exchanges. We are building cutting-edge technology and quantitative strategies to exploit market inefficiencies and generate alpha. We are looking for a talented and experienced Quantitative Strategist to join our team and play a key role in developing and implementing our next generation of trading algorithms. Responsibilities: Lead the development and implementation of quantitative trading strategies targeting the Indian stock market. Conduct in-depth research and analysis of financial data using statistical modeling, as required. Design and backtest trading algorithms across various asset classes and timeframes. Evaluate and optimize existing trading strategies to ensure continued profitability. Monitor market conditions and adapt algorithms accordingly. Contribute to the development and maintenance of quantitative trading infrastructure. Work closely with traders, developers, and risk management teams to ensure effective implementation of strategies. Stay abreast of the latest developments in quantitative finance and algorithmic trading. Qualifications: Degree from a top tier Indian institution (IITs, IIMs, NITs, etc.) is preferred. Minimum 4 years of experience in quantitative trading or a related field. Proven track record of developing and implementing profitable trading algorithms. Strong knowledge of financial markets, asset pricing, and statistical modeling. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, C++, or R. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Ability to work independently and take initiative. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Passion for innovation and a desire to push the boundaries of quantitative trading.
