Job Purpose:

As a Senior Robotics Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing path planning algorithms for autonomous robots. You will work on designing efficient and safe paths for robots to navigate in various environments. This role requires strong technical skills in robotics, path planning algorithms, and software development, as well as the ability to lead and mentor a team of engineers

Role Expectations:

Design and implement path planning algorithms for autonomous robots, including algorithms for obstacle avoidance and motion planning. Develop software for real-time processing of sensor data, including cameras, LIDAR, and other sensors. Collaborate with other engineers to integrate path planning algorithms into larger robotic systems. Conduct experiments to evaluate and improve the performance of path planning algorithms. Stay up to date with the latest research in robotics and path planning, and apply new techniques to improve system performance. Lead and mentor a team of junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support

PEOPLE SPECIFICATIONS

Profile:

Ideally ~ PhD. Or Master's degree in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field. 5+ years of experience in path planning for robotics or related field

Requisites:

Exposure to software development of autonomous mobile robots with manufacturing and automation domain background.

Competencies:

technical: Familiarity with control systems, sensors, and actuators. Experience with software development for robotic systems, including robot perception, navigation, and control. Strong programming skills in Python, C++, and ROS2 Experience with path planning algorithms, motion planning, and obstacle avoidance. Experience with real-time processing of sensor data Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

Preferred: Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence. Knowledge of industrial automation and manufacturing processes. Familiarity with safety regulations and standards related to robotics. Experience with simulation software such as Gazebo or Unity
