Job Overview

Intelligent Medical Billing Solutions is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Billing And Coding Specialist. As a Billing And Coding Specialist, you will be responsible for accurately coding medical procedures and diagnoses, verifying insurance information, and preparing billing statements. This role requires excellent communication skills, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, a strong typing speed, and a deep understanding of billing and coding practices in the US healthcare industry.

Qualifications and Skills

• Junior: 1 to 3 years of experience in billing and coding
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting
• Strong typing speed and accuracy
• Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook for email communication
• Knowledge of billing and coding practices in the US healthcare industry
• Understanding of medical terminology and procedures
• Certification in billing and coding is a plus (e.g., AAPC Certification)

Roles and Responsibilities

• Accurately code medical procedures and diagnoses based on provided documentation
• Verify insurance information and ensure compliance with relevant regulations
• Prepare and submit billing statements to insurance companies and patients
• Identify and resolve billing discrepancies and issues
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in compliance with privacy regulations
• Collaborate with healthcare providers to obtain necessary documentation for billing purposes
• Stay updated with changes in billing and coding practices and communicate relevant updates to the team
