Job Description : PACS Administrator - MedantaWork Location: GurgaonPosition Purpose : This job exists to ensure the ongoing reliability and performance of the Picture Archive Communication System (PACS), Radiology Information System (RIS), Computed Radiography (CR) and Digital Radiography (DR) and related systems The Administrator will provide direction, clinical support and leadership to the staff using PACS Systems The Administrator will ensure that 'Best Practice' is incorporated into all processes undertaken by staff and manage quality assurance practices in line with company guidelines The person appointed to this position must have either recent or previous Medical Radiation Technologist experience or a strong understanding of Information Technology & Information Systems You should be an excellent communicator and work well within a teamQualifications Essential:- Graduate in Science , BCA, MCA or B.Tech - Min 8 years of experience in working with IS/IT systems - Has min 10 years of experience in maintaining PACS systems including applications and workflow - Dedicated Team Player - Excellent communicator - both written and oral - Problem solver and decision makerKey Achievement Areas:- Maintenance of the PACS/RIS - General application maintenance and troubleshooting; (checking for application error messages) - Maintain the user database (add/edit/delete users/permissions) - Maintains tables - additions deletions, etc. (doctor codes, procedure codes, locations user Ids, etc). - Monitor data integrity and consistency - Contact is made with other staff or suppliers, in accordance with support agreements for the successful operation and maintenance of the PACS - Document system history; maintain system security and operational policies and procedures - Co-ordinate/manage QA programme Cooperate with the vendor with planning and implementation of any new functionality and system changes, version enhancements, etc - Assistance given to manager in preparing system specifications and/or tender documents for enhancements or changes- Day to Day operation and support of PACS/RIS/CR/DR - Basic examination administration this would include :1. Merging2. Exception handling3. RIS alert resolution4. HL7 monitoring5. DICOM router6. Teleradiology services7. Voice recognition support8. Orthopaedic templating software support - Updates and maintenance of VM servers. - Checking queues and disk spaces; database checking - Resolve user problems - Maintain records of users requests - Develop and maintain up to date documentation on each PACS/RIS/CR/DR module - Oversight of the Quality Assurance programme - Respond to requests for information and reports - Participate in a PACS support and on-call roster so as to provide 24x7 cover for the systems operation across all participating Medanta locations - Assist manager with other relevant tasks as necessary- Post Installation Management & Maintenance of PACS/RIS/CR/DR - Training and Education Development and maintain training documentation for all aspects of the system - Help to develop Super-Users of the system - Assist users to achieve the best out of the system- Provide 1:1 training of senior staff - Maintain personal up to date knowledge of the systems (ref:hirist.tech)
