Overview

The Human Resources Intern plays a vital role in supporting the HR team with various administrative tasks, recruitment efforts, and employee relations. This role provides an opportunity for hands-on experience in HR functions and contributes to the overall success of the HR department.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with recruitment activities such as job postings, resume screening, and scheduling interviews.
  • Provide administrative support for HR programs and processes.
  • Assist with employee onboarding and orientation programs.
  • Assist in maintaining and updating employee records and HR databases.
  • Conduct research and contribute to the development of HR policies and procedures.
  • Assist in organizing HR events, meetings, and training sessions.
  • Handle employee inquiries and provide basic HR-related information.
  • Support HR team with various projects and initiatives.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of HR reports and metrics.
  • Participate in the development and delivery of internal communications.
  • Assist with compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the improvement of HR processes and workflows.
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with colleagues on various HR initiatives.
  • Stay informed about relevant HR trends and best practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic understanding of HR principles and practices.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple assignments effectively.
  • Willingness to learn and take initiative in a dynamic work environment.
  • Knowledge of employment laws and regulations is a plus.
  • Previous HR or office experience is an advantage.
  • Ability to adapt to change and contribute to a positive work culture.
  • Understanding of diversity, equity, and inclusion principles is preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of HRIS systems and tools is a plus.
