Position Summary We're looking for a Spryker Development Lead. Your job will consist of leading the development of e-commerce sites for our customers based on Spryker, with the following
roles & responsibilities: - Work with the Business Analyst, Solution Architect and pre-sales team throughout the project discovery and development phase
- Setup and configuration of the project and CI/CD pipelines
- Leading the development team by helping them with development of most complex features
- Ensuring high-quality code and effective solution through code reviews
- Mentoring senior and junior developers to provide technical guidance and feedback to help with their growth and development
- Work with PM, BA and QA for preparation of stories, sprints, priorities and ensuring smooth execution of plan
- Be authority in handling the technical blockers and providing solution by taking help from development manager and solution architect
- Striving for continuous improvement by collaborating with others throughout the development lifecycle to review peer code and identify areas for enhancement.
- Work closely with leadership and other development/project teams in creating, updating and maintaining technical documentation and best practices
- Use SAFe (Agile), GitFlow, and Pivotree's CI/CD workflow in all the development process
- Actively participate in SCRUM ceremonies and have a proactive attitude, and take ownership of some of the ceremonies like demo and daily as required
- Support the QA team during the testing process
Key Skills and Competencies: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent
- Spryker certified
- 2+ years of hands-on experience working on Spryker as a Developer and/or Lead
- 8+ years experience in software development
- Understanding of general eCommerce concepts
- Previous experience working with globally distributed teams
- Experience with Agile development methodology and delivery
- Strong communication, team working, technical writing and documentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English
- Hands-on experience of well-known design patterns and testing framework(s)
- Good understanding of bash scripting, docker and CI/CD tools
- Experience with the following technologies
Nice to Have (Not essential): - Expertise on Spryker platform
- PHP 7.4 or higher
- Modern PHP Frameworks such as Symfony, Laravel or Laminas
- Composer dependency management
- PHP-FIG
- Relational and key-value databases
- PostgreSQL, MySQL, MariaDB and Redis
- Experience with template engines like Twig
- Elasticsearch
- RabbitMQ (or any other similar queue)
- PHPUnit / Codeception (or any other similar testing framework)
- Jenkins / Github actions / Bitbucket pipelines (or any other similar CI/CD tool)
- Experience with other eCommerce platforms such as Magento, Vtex etc.
- Understanding of modern DevOps concepts
- Public Cloud such as as AWS, Azure or GCP
