Job description
- We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Lead Data Scientist
- This is a hybrid role that combines expertise in Data Engineering, ML Ops, and Data Science
- As the Lead Data Scientist, you will be responsible for working with the bleeding-edge AI models, LLMs (Large Language Models), and setting up pipelines for training and fine-tuning these models

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, ML Ops specialists, and other data scientists, to develop and implement cutting-edge AI models and solutions.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in AI and machine learning, particularly in the area of LLMs, and assess their potential applications to our business needs.
- Design and implement end-to-end data pipelines for training, fine-tuning, and deployment of AI models, ensuring data quality, integrity, and availability.
- Develop strategies to optimize and scale AI models for efficient and high-performance deployment, considering factors such as computational resources, latency, and scalability.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of complex data sets, identifying patterns, trends, and insights that can drive actionable business decisions and enhance the performance of AI models.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into data science projects, and develop innovative solutions that address key challenges and opportunities.
- Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, providing guidance, support, and technical expertise to foster professional growth and ensure successful project execution.
As a Lead Data Scientist you will need...
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Data Science, or a related field. A Masters or Ph.D. degree is preferred.
- Proven experience as a data scientist, data engineer, or in a related role, with a strong understanding of AI and machine learning concepts.
- Extensive hands-on experience in developing and deploying AI models, LLMs, and setting up end-to-end data pipelines for training and fine-tuning.
- Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Scala, as well as experience with libraries and frameworks for machine learning and data processing (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Apache Spark).
- Solid understanding of ML Ops principles, including model versioning, reproducibility, continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD), and monitoring.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work with large and complex data sets and derive meaningful insights.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts and findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership experience, including the ability to lead and mentor a team of data scientists, manage priorities, and deliver high-quality results within deadlines.
