Job description
Role Summary
You will be accountable for aligning on the direction and business strategy for the group’s natural fibers and edible oils businesses for the Indian sub-continental markets with the group’s business leaders. You will also be responsible for the execution of these strategies to achieve business performance covering downstream key business areas in natural fibers and edible oils that are used to produce materials that become paper, board, tissue, surgical masks, diapers, clothes, cooking oil, shampoo, soap and hundreds of daily essentials. Responsibilities: Lead the group’s India business expansion, through both organic growth and acquisitions Build up the organization and ensure that it has the required capability as well as capacity to execute the strategy and meet the business objectives Ensure that expansion projects are managed and completed within the parameters / Specifications of quality, costs and timelines Build a strong network with other stakeholders especially the banking sector, surrounding communities, non– government organizations and media Maintain an awareness of industry trends and competition in order to aggressively improve and grow the business Lead and promote alignment with the company’s culture and values Performance Excellence Resourceful Cost conscious Open communication Team Work Corporate Governance Job Requirements: At least 20 years of proven track record leading and managing significant businesses in MNC environments preferably in manufacturing domains in multi locations in India Graduate, MBA with a strong business and operational acumen Possess deep understanding of the India sub-continent markets with strong network of governmental and business contacts Effective motivational leader who is results-oriented, hands-on, detailed and meticulous, performance driven and customer focused High energy driver with the sense of urgency, creativity, decisiveness and ability to excel under pressure A team player who gives credit when due, strong interpersonal/communication skills with professional staff, senior level executives and the community at large Effectively bilingual in English and Hindi Open to extensive travel requirementsJob tags
