Job description
GVC India is looking for dynamic L2 Service Engineer. Your primary focus will be to provide support to users via escalated L1 Incidents. Acts as a subject matter expert for support area. Provide training to Tier 1 via knowledge transfer. A thorough understanding of all the components of our platform and infrastructure is required. As a member of engineering team, you will continue to lead and build, extend innovative next generation technologies and tools.
Primary Responsibilities - Good understanding about Distributed Systems; aspects surrounding them like architectures, systems design.
- Understanding of high-volume, low-latency applications for online betting domain and delivering high-availability and performance.
- Issue Analysis and Debugging of anomalies and Provide relevant Logs to drive investigation
- Resolve Incidents within the specified Service Level Agreements/Operational Level Agreements
- Identify Problems
- Triage incidents of all kind of Priorities/Severities.
- Provide support and identify all issues and prepare appropriate documentation of issues and solutions
- Escalate unresolved Incidents to L3
Qualifications And Educational Requirements - Bachelor's degree in information technology, engineering, or a related field.
Specialist Skills And Experience Required - The candidate should have 3 to 6 years of relevant software industry experience, in different flavours of Linux/AIX systems.
Required Skills - Responsible for monitoring of Applications AIX, & Linux) servers continuously and resolving the system related issues if any occurred as 24/7 support.
- Should have experience in troubleshooting Java Application
- Should have very good knowledge about web services and REST API
- Should have experience of Tools like Service Now, AppDynamics, Kibana and Elastic Search
- Excellent Troubleshooting and Debugging skills on Linux System
- Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines.
- Demonstrate good interpersonal skills and mentor the junior team members
Good To Have Skills - Excellent problem solving, critical thinking and communication skills.
- Ability to work individually on their own with minimal supervision.
- Experience in Docker, Kafka, Zookeeper,
- Exposure on SQL Procedures, Functions, SQL Jobs
- Flexible in working under changing and different work settings.
- Knowledge of sports betting and an interest in sports.
- Linux Certified Engineer is preferred.
- ITIL certification
