Job description

Evolve Back Resorts is a chain of luxury resorts known for offering immersive and highend experiences in India. Formerly known as Orange County Resorts they rebranded to Evolve Back Resorts to reflect their commitment to evolving the concept of luxury hospitality.

Job Summary:

The Commis 2 plays a vital role in supporting the culinary team by assisting in food preparation cooking and maintaining highquality standards in the kitchen. This position requires dedication a willingness to learn and the ability to work efficiently in a dynamic kitchen environment.

Responsibilities:

  1. Food Preparation: Assist in preparing ingredients including cleaning chopping and portioning according to established recipes and guidelines.
  2. Cooking Assistance: Support senior chefs in cooking and assembling dishes while adhering to proper cooking techniques and safety standards.
  3. Quality Control: Ensure that all prepared and cooked foods meet the standards of quality taste and presentation before being served.
  4. Kitchen Organization: Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in workstations equipment and storage areas following sanitation and hygiene procedures.
  5. Inventory Management: Assist in monitoring and maintaining stock levels informing supervisors of shortages and participating in inventory counts as required.
  6. Adaptability and Learning: Be open to learning new culinary skills techniques and recipes while following instructions from senior chefs.
  7. Assistance in Menu Development: Collaborate with the culinary team in creating and refining menu items and specials.
  8. Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff communicate effectively and support colleagues to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  9. Compliance and Safety: Adhere strictly to food safety standards regulations and kitchen protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
  10. Assist in Other Kitchen Tasks: Support the kitchen in various tasks as assigned by supervisors to facilitate efficient operations.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience (X years) in a culinary environment preferably in a similar role.
  2. Basic culinary training or relevant certifications is a plus.
  3. Knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
  4. Ability to follow instructions work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities.
  5. Strong teamwork skills and the ability to communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
  6. Physical endurance to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.
  7. Passion for food a desire to learn and a positive attitude in the kitchen environment.
  8. Flexibility in working hours including evenings weekends and holidays.
