Job description
InnoWave is looking for a skilled and experienced QA Manual Tester with a strong background in the Insurance domain. The ideal candidate should have 3 to 6 years of relevant experience, preferably in the BFSI sector. As a QA Manual Tester, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our [Insurance/Financial] products by conducting comprehensive testing and identifying potential issues or defects.
Responsibilities: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business analysts, developers, and product owners, to understand project requirements and design test cases accordingly.
- Develop and execute test plans, test cases, and test scripts for various [Insurance/Financial] products, ensuring comprehensive test coverage.
- Perform manual testing of application functionalities related to [Insurance/Financial] processes, including policy management, claims processing, underwriting, and more.
- Identify, document, and report defects using appropriate testing tools, such as JIRA or similar bug tracking systems.
- Verify bug fixes and new features through regression testing to ensure the stability of the product.
- Participate in test estimation, planning, and test strategy discussions to contribute to the overall testing process.
- Conduct end-to-end testing of applications, ensuring seamless integration with other systems and interfaces.
- Continuously improve testing processes and methodologies, exploring opportunities for test automation where appropriate.
- Collaborate with the QA team to maintain a comprehensive test environment and ensure data integrity.
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the Insurance domain to enhance domain knowledge and apply it to testing activities.
Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Proven 2 to 6 years of experience as a QA Manual Tester, with a focus on Insurance domain testing.
- Strong understanding of [Insurance/Financial] processes and concepts, including policy administration, claims handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Solid experience in developing test cases and test scenarios to verify complex business logic.
- Proficiency in manual testing techniques, test methodologies, and defect tracking systems.
- Knowledge of testing tools and frameworks, such as JIRA, HP ALM, or similar.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues effectively.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies and the ability to adapt to fast-paced development cycles.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
- BFSI industry experience will be highly advantageous.
