Inside Technical Sales Representative Job Description:
We are searching for a driven technical sales representative to join our dynamic team. The technical sales representative should have a clear understanding of the Industrial Automation products and the ability to demonstrate how they work. Your responsibilities will include establishing the needs of the customer and recommending and demonstrating Industrial Automation products.
To be a successful technical sales representative, you should be able to develop an excellent rapport with your existing customers and source new clients. A top-notch technical sales representative should be knowledgeable about competing products and should have the ability to break down technical terminology to non-technical clients.
Inside Technical Sales Representative Job Responsibilities:
- Establishing the technical needs of the customer and suggesting appropriate Industrial Automation products.
- Explaining complex technical information to customers in a way that is easily understandable.
- Following up with customers and resolving any issues that may arise.
- Keeping customers informed about new Industrial Automation products.
- Compiling proposals and reports related to Industrial Automation products.
- Ensuring that sales targets are consistently met.
- Reporting to management about sales made.
- Updating records of customer communications and contact information.
- Inside Technical Sales Representative Job Duties:
• Assesses competitors by analysing and summarizing competitor information and trends; identifying sales opportunities.
- Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts; soliciting new accounts; building rapport; providing technical information and explanations; preparing quotations.
- Closes new accounts by answering telephone, WhatsApp, and e-mail inquiries; verifying and entering information.
- Fills orders by transferring orders to fulfilment; communicating expected delivery date; explaining stock-outs.
- Develops accounts by checking customer's buying history; suggesting related and new items; explaining technical features of Industrial Automation products.
- Maintains communication equipment by troubleshooting, reporting, and tracking problems.
- Maintains and improves quality results by following standards; recommending improved policies and procedures.
- Updates job knowledge by studying new Industrial Automation product descriptions; participating in educational opportunities.
- Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
- Inside Technical Sales Representative Qualification & Requirements:
- A high school diploma; bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical, IT Networking, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of technical sales or marketing experience.
- Technical knowledge and a comprehensive understanding of how the
- company's Industrial Automation products work.
- Strong self-initiative, with the capacity to complete necessary tasks with
- minimal supervision.
- Should have basic knowledge of the Industrial Automation products like PLC,
- HMI, VFD, Ethernet Switch, SMPS, Relay Board, Sensors etc.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- The ability to identify and follow up on leads.
- Exceptional skills in selling products and closing deals.
- Knowledge of sales promotion techniques.
- Knowledge of Social media marketing/WhatsApp marketing/ Email Marketing
- Know how to handle B2B platforms like India Mart, trade India, Just Dial etc.
- Excellent presentation skills and a professional appearance.
