About the Job:
As a member of Sakon, your passion for finding data driven and analytical insights will be a key enabler to the success of the department. As a Manager, you would lead a team of data analyst who would enhance data solutions enabling seamless delivery of data and would be responsible for collecting, parsing, managing, and analyzing large sets of data across multiple sources. Role requires you to conceptualize complex data management solutions and manage team to deliver multiple data solutions and support. You would need a strong knowledge of data management and modeling principles, hands-on exposure in preparing final structure for the processed data, knowledge of algorithms for transformations and performance tuning, and familiarity with multiple solutions for keeping data like RDBMSes, NoSQL databases, and other Big Data solutions. You would also require strong project and stakeholder management skills, good presentation, data summarization and storytelling skills to impact and influence stakeholders at varied levels.
Data operations management
- Make sure the data platforms and processes are running well, both in data collection, integration, processing, and output, monitor and manage data processes and quality
- Overseeing and responsible for day-to-day operations
- Client and stakeholder management, leading cross-team initiatives
- Perform corrective and evolutive maintenance of all the data exchange and data solution processes
- Responsible for the quality and security of data
- Troubleshooting and Iron out technical issues and/or help in technical improvement, cascade to development teams
- Document data operations, monitoring and management solutions in clear, concise guides
- Review and access major risks and opportunities
- Audit, document and implement operational improvements
- Ensure strong team emphasis on automation and scalability
- Define and monitor metrics that measure scalability of Operations team Proof of Concepts.
- Track these metrics over time to improve performance
- Define technical requirements that increase the level of automation in the Data Operations division
- Strong emphasis and understanding of data quality
- Ensure that the right data is available to produce high quality, timely data-driven analysis, insight and content.
- Define metrics to measure data coverage, data completeness, and data accuracy
- Lead the team to develop dashboards and reports for measuring these metrics
Team management
- Coach, guide and support the team of data operations specialists and developers
- Motivate and create great place for people to work
- Ensure knowledge transfer flows in both directions
- Performance management and people development
- Partner with leadership in driving initiatives and developing team effectiveness
- Partner effectively with cross-functional teams
Experience preferred
- Hand-on experience in complex data analytical solutioning or experience managing automated systems, understanding data/system architecture and upstream/downstream processes
- Experience in troubleshooting data issues (related to any part of the data lifecycle of sourcing, validating, data model alignment, validation, publication)
- Hands-on experience in managing large data sets, ability to efficiently transform and munge data, identify inter-relationships, anomalies, and deeper patterns
- Strong experience on regular BI/analytical, ETL tools and databases and capability to develop reports or dashboards or ad hoc analysis
- Strong outlook for data quality and general quality assurance
- Results orientated, proactive, takes initiative.
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Lead teams and involved in talent management and development
- Ability to work across regions and cultures
Academics and Work experience:
- BE/BTech or MBA (IT, Ops) with Graduation in Science or Computer related degrees or Any PG with Analytics/IT/Tech Certifications
- Overall experience of over 11 to 13 years preferably in industry (IT or Software Services) or function (data management, data analytics, data operations) specific experience
Working Hours:
- Hybrid work environment (scheduled in-person meetings/visits at Office)
- Business working hours – Flexible to work across regions and geographies.
