Job Overview We are looking for a dedicated Safety Officer/Supervisor to join our team at SINCLUS. As a Mumbai-based staffing services provider, SINCLUS specializes in meeting staffing requirements for various industries, including Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Infrastructure, Airports, Fertilizer, and EPC. The Safety Officer/Supervisor role is responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and creating a safe work environment for employees.
Qualifications And Skills - Proven work experience as a Safety Officer/Supervisor in a similar industry
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices
- Strong understanding of hazardous materials and safety procedures
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to conduct training sessions and deliver presentations
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Certification in Occupational Health and Safety would be an advantage
- Proficient in using safety management software and tools
Roles And Responsibilities - Develop and implement safety policies, procedures, and programs to prevent accidents, injuries, and occupational diseases
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports
- Coordinate safety training programs for employees and provide guidance on safe work practices
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation, codes, and standards
- Collaborate with management and employees to develop a strong safety culture
- Maintain records of safety-related incidents, inspections, and training
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and initiatives
