The Assistant Vice President (AVP) - Growth plays a pivotal role in driving the business development and expansion strategies of the advertising agency. This position requires a dynamic individual with a strong background in sales, marketing, and client relationship management. The AVP - Growth will be responsible for identifying and pursuing growth opportunities, fostering key client relationships, and contributing to the overall success and profitability of the agency.
Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement growth strategies aligned with the agency's business objectives. Analyze market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments to identify new opportunities.
- Business Development: Lead the new business acquisition process, from prospecting to closing deals. Build and nurture a robust pipeline of potential clients and partnerships. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop tailored proposals and presentations.
- Client Relationship Management : Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure client satisfaction and retention. Act as a key liaison between clients and internal teams, ensuring seamless communication and delivery of services.
- Revenue Growth: Set and achieve revenue targets, consistently monitoring and reporting on progress. Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities within existing client accounts.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and guidance to the business development team, fostering a high-performance culture. Collaborate with other department heads to ensure alignment between business development efforts and overall company goals.
- Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and changes in the competitive landscape. Utilize market intelligence to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of industry innovations.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience (6-8 years) in a senior business development or growth-focused role within the advertising industry.
- Strong understanding of advertising, marketing, and digital media trends.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire teams to achieve ambitious targets.
- Results-driven mindset with a focus on exceeding revenue goals.
