Position Summary :
- We are seeking a dynamic and creative individual to join our team as a Public Relations and Social Media Manager. In this role, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in developing and executing strategies to enhance our online and offline presence, drive website traffic, and effectively communicate our brand story. Key Responsibilities and Duties : Public Image Enhancement : - Develop and implement strategies to consistently enhance the foundation's public image across relevant platforms - Collaborate with internal teams to ensure a cohesive and positive representation of the organisation's mission and values - Create compelling narratives that showcase the impact of our projects, aligning with our non-profit's goals Engagement Metrics : - Strategically boost digital and offline engagement metrics, including social media platforms, events, and community outreach Media Management : - Handle media relations, acting as the primary point of contact for media inquiries and interview requests - Draft and distribute press releases, ensuring accurate and timely communication of organisational news and milestones - Develop and maintain relationships with journalists, bloggers, and influencers to amplify our reach Collaboration with Internal Teams : - Coordinate with program managers and project teams to gather information for press materials, ensuring accurate representation of our initiatives Stakeholder Relations : - Support the foundation's involvement in CSR projects by effectively communicating our impact and contributions Website Content Creation : - Research and write insightful, informative, and compelling blog articles that showcase the success stories of our artisan clusters, their journeys, and the positive impact on their lives - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather information and create compelling content that showcases our work and initiatives Social Media Management : - Develop and implement social media strategies to increase brand awareness and reach across various platforms - Consistently create and curate engaging content for social media channels, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn - Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions on social media platforms Product Catalogue Management : - Coordinate professional photography and videography of our product catalog for website and social media use. - Work closely with the creative team to ensure high-quality visual representation of products that attract buyers and companies. - Creating interest in our products among target audiences, non-government organisations, farmer producer organisations, marketing managers, and digital marketing professionals Internal Culture Representation : - Conceptualise, plan, and produce internal workspace videos that showcase the company's culture, values, and day-to-day operations. - Collaborate with team members to capture and highlight the unique aspects of our work environment. Qualifications and Experience : - Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field - Proven experience in public relations, preferably in the non-profit sector - Strong written and verbal communication skills with an ability to tailor messages for diverse audiences - Sufficient knowledge of various forms of organisations, compliances, et cetera - Proficient in using social media management tools and platforms - Strong understanding of social media algorithms, trends, and best practices - Experience in professional photography and videography is a plus - Ability to conceptualize and produce engaging content - Familiarity with graphic design tools such as Adobe Illustrator/Photoshop/Canva and basic video editing is a plus - Assist in implementing plans to increase followers and website traffic - Knowledge about Search Engine OptimisationJob tags
