SportsKeeda is seeking a Content Manager for the Pop Culture team who is well-versed in the Entertainment & Reality TV niche. The applicant should be well acquainted with all shows in the two genres, especially US-Centric and have a good understanding of the audiences’ interest.
The applicant will be expected to follow all shows ongoing & upcoming, manage a monthly content calendar, formulate and execute content strategies to scale the respective section & track and manage responsible POCs to ensure streamlined operations on a day-to–day basis. As the Content manager for Pop Culture you will be responsible for the end-to-end execution of all things content (web) in the Entertainment & Reality TV verticals.
The candidate must have a solid understanding of general SEO, Google trends and their application in web content. They must also have a detailed understanding of general narratives in mainstream TV shows, films.
What is expected of you?
You understand Pop Culture, you’re an avid fan of all things Film & TV, whether it's Marvel superheroes, a little bit of The Good Doctor or The Real Housewives of Miami you have your hand in all the content cookie jars within the niche.
You’ve a concise understanding of what the audience of all the mainstream shows wants to read about and see. You have a knack for creating content and turning your wildest ideas into articulate copies for the world to see. Alongside your understanding of the content, you also know how to apply SEO (Search engine optimization) to ensure the content you produce reaches the right audience and is a treat in the eyes of google algorithm. You must be good with people and have good communication skills in order to appropriately communicate your thoughts and ideas to the team. You must be goal-oriented.
Key Responsibilities:
Devise the Content strategy for the Pop Culture (Entertainment + Reality) section
Work closely with stakeholders (Tech, SEO and Content teams) to plan and
grow the vertical.
Planning day to day operation and team structure in a strategic manner while keeping monthly, quarterly and yearly growth targets in mind.
Completely own P&L and growth responsibilities for the section.
Work closely with the Senior Content Manager with regards to R&D, developing data-driven insights, carrying analysis across various levels, implementing solutions etc.
Manage Content Specialists, Assistant Managers and Writers on a daily basis.
Conduct regular analysis and audit of the Entertainment & Reality content on the website.
Work towards creating qualitative processes to upscale Sportskeeda's brand.
Work and deliver on the content plan through the team of writers under your supervision
Helping create data-driven dashboards to analyze content traffic sources and potential growth
Continuously track business performance, setting it up for growth and course-correcting whenever necessary.
Build a robust content stream that ensures round the clock coverage and timely news coverage.
2-4 years of experience in managing content verticals, specifically in the Hollywood & Reality TV side of things.
Understanding/Working knowledge of SEO, Digital Marketing, Text Content Business and Analytics
Efficiency with using social media and developing processes to streamline daily scouting and tracking operations
Growth Mindset, Business acumen, and Analytical skills
Energy and passion to create the most engaging content for consumers
Understanding of trending stories, feeds, and an eye for detail for a good story.
Passionate about Hollywood, movies, Reality TV and general entertainment
Ability to help create original content on a regular basis
US Centric coverage only (Experience in Bollywood / other film industries will not count)
