The Custom Design Solutions Team is part of Synopsys Circuit Design & TCAD Solutions Group. We work with top-tier Synopsys customers to deploy high-quality Custom/Analog Design Solutions and Flows on the latest process nodes. The team works across the spectrum of design including front-end, simulation , back -end, and verification flows. The team believes in fostering interest and opportunities to work in different aspects of the design spectrum. You will get the right platform to apply design knowledge, architect and develop Custom Design solutions.
Solutions Engineer, Sr I
Job Responsibilities:
Work as a part of the team that focuses on the development of Process Design Kits for the Synopsys Custom Design platform.
While participating in the production of PDKs one needs to support internal/external customers on previously developed PDKs
Design and develop Custom scripts for features specific to a given customer or to provide a quick solution while the features are being enhanced.
Own the Customer relationship, i.e. work with R&D and other teams to make sure Customer requirements are well understood and track the development of features required by the Customer.

Exercising judgment in selecting methods and techniques to obtain solutions.
Executing projects from start to completion. Handling moderately complex aspects of a project. Works on team-based or task-oriented projects. May guide more junior peers with aspects of their job. Networks with senior internal and external personnel in their own area of expertise.
Job Requirements
BE/MTech in Electrical/Electronics/Computer Engineering
5+ years of experience creating and supporting custom design flows using Custom Compiler or equivalent industry standard tools
Hands-On experience in coding medium-sized software solutions for custom design problems
A good understanding of PDKs and experience as a CAD engineer would be beneficial.
Expertise in one or more scripting/programming languages like TCL/Python/Perl/SKILL
Knowledge of Custom/analog design and hands-on with EDA tools such as Custom Layout, Spice simulation , Physical verification is preferred.
