Description We are seeking an experienced Safety Health Environment Specialist with advanced-level knowledge in data analytics to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in programming languages like Python and R, SQL Queries for SQL Server, Data visualization using Excel and PowerBI, and Presentation skills using Microsoft PowerPoint. The candidate should also have experience in working with different data sources, knowledge in SharePoint beginner level .It is also desirable for the candidate to have knowledge in data science, Python and statistics.
- Collect, analyze, and interpret safety, health and environmental data using data science techniques such as predictive modeling, time series modeling, and forecasting.
- Design and maintain dashboards to monitor safety performance, and present data-driven insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Develop visualizations of data using Excel, PowerBI, and other tools to clearly present findings and insights to management and other stakeholders.
- Analyze safety data, identify trends, and provide insights to support continuous improvement in the organization's safety performance.
- Use programming languages like Python and R to wrangle manipulate data, implement model, and evaluate performance of model.
- Develop and maintain databases using SQL Server.
- Develop presentations using Microsoft PowerPoint to communicate findings and recommendations to management and other stakeholders.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to develop and implement policies and procedures that align with industry standards and regulations.
- Keep up to date with industry trends, new data analytics techniques, and regulations that affect the company's safety, health and environmental policies.
- Support the development of safety programs and initiatives by providing data-driven insights and recommendations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that safety data is accurate and up to date.
Qualifications - Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience in data analytics, with a focus on safety data.
- Strong skills in data science, including predictive modeling, time series modeling, and forecasting.
- Proficiency in data visualization using Excel, PowerBI, and other tools.
- Experience in programming languages using Python and R.
- Experience in working with SQL Server and developing databases.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, including the ability to communicate complex data insights to non-technical stakeholders.
- Knowledge of SharePoint beginner level is desirable.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
