Job Purpose:
Primary responsibilities are accurately adjudicate0 commercial contracts for various market segments housed in SAP and Revitas, based upon proper evaluation and interpretation. Ensuring the accurate, timely system set up and payment of complex contractual rebate obligations to medium to large Wholesaler, Retail, and Institutional customers and managing special projects.

Major Accountabilities:

• Accurately evaluate and interpret rebate contracts and monitor the status of rebate claims to ensure rebate payments are made accurately and timely as per the terms and conditions of the contracts.
• Assist with contract review, ability to identify and communicate administration issues and concerns and provide financial impact analysis as needed. Responsible for the detailed analysis and validation of rebate claim data and the calculation of rebate payments utilizing SAP and PC based applications.
• Responsible for maintaining an effective customer focus: communicating with and providing rebate claim supporting documentation to external and internal customers. Assists in the analysis and resolution of disputed rebate claim data.
• Communicating with Finance Shared Service regarding open deductions and rebate accrual business impacts. Improve profitability through validation process of invoices and insights/ analytic/ recommendations on contract terms and performance.
• Assess operational viability of contract strategies and help to implement new strategies in compliant manner. Provide initial guidance and support on rebate issues to staff members and escalate issues appropriately to Director.
• Assist in the design of innovative solutions for system set up, processing of rebates and ensuring database integrity, including mainframe systems and p.c.-based applications. Maintain knowledge of system processes. Assist in development and implementation of reportable metrics for Senior management.
• Assist in the development and implementation of department policies and procedures. Provide Subject Matter Expertise of contracting systems for process improvements. Participate/contribute to special projects as needed.

Role Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree with +5 year’s experience in financial analysis and customer payments, preferred.
• Advanced understanding of legal aspects of contracts and contract interpretation.Advanced knowledge of payment procedures. Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems.
• Intermediate knowledge of Revenue Management system, preferrably Model N.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills to interact with all levels of internal and external customers. Excellent analytical skills are necessary to review contracts, review rebates, and assess business impact.
• CPA or MBA. Minimum of 2 years, pharmaceutical industry experience required. Generic experience, Experience working in Model N system is a plus.
• Understanding of healthcare industry marketing and sales concepts and practices.
