Website : Location : Whitefield, Bangalore (On-Site - Work from office only) Job Description- Chassis/Frame Design - Lead/Principal engineer Key responsibilities: ● Lead the chassis/frame design from concept to production ● Support new/existing frame tool up with supplier, actively engage in technical discussion, design review and arrive at inspection methodologies until project completion ● Ensure accuracy of 2D / 3D frame and sub system drawings, dimensioning and tolerances based on assembly, packaging and frame fabrication design rules aligned with both industrial / internal standards / template and best practices. ● Conduct design reviews and maintain proper documentation for design releases. ● Work closely with CAE & validation to ensure components and systems meet all performance, safety, and durability requirements. ● Maintain project delivery based on time/cost/quality ● Generate and implement VA/VE ideas to reduce the product material cost. Required Skills And Experience: ● 8-10 years of experience in frame design and has been a part of the development of the multiple two wheeler products. ● Relevant knowledge of PLM platforms. Experience with Dassault 3DExperience a plus. ● Good understanding of Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA) and Design for Serviceability(DFS). ● Well versed with the manufacturing aspects and materials of the frame including fixture development and other sheet metal fabrication. ● Very good understanding of FEA and MBD analysis for chassis system parts. ● Very good knowledge of critical to quality requirements on the frame(ie Weld penetrations, other requirements that affect integrity of structure) ● Good knowledge on GD&T and well versed with modelling and drafting of drawings on solid works . This is a must. ● Expertise in advance surfacing, 3D modelling and 2D drawing in Solid works/ Any CAD tool.Job tags
