Job description

Position Overview:

As the Quality Assurance Manager for testing COE, Candidate will be responsible not only for overseeing and managing the testing processes but also in setting up the COE framework from inception. He/she will lead a team of skilled quality assurance professionals, Implement, and drive testing strategy, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality insurance solutions. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Team Management: Spearhead the establishment of the COE Testing framework, defining processes, methodologies, and best practices. Work closely with key stakeholders to understand organizational goals and tailor COE processes accordingly. Lead and manage the COE Testing team, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure the team's success. Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the testing team. Develop and implement comprehensive test strategies aligned with project requirements and objectives. Manage and prioritize test execution across various stages (unit, integration, system, acceptance). Test Strategy and Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies aligned with business objectives within the COE framework. Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, and development teams to create detailed test plans. Resource Planning and Allocation: Efficiently allocate testing resources based on project priorities and timelines. Conduct capacity planning and manage resource allocation to optimize team performance. Quality Assurance Processes: Define and enhance quality assurance processes within the COE framework to ensure the highest level of software quality. Integrate COE processes with overall project and release management processes. Capable in calculating and reporting of testing COE effectiveness in terms of speed and quality through different test matrices. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to enhance testing efficiency. Implement measures to monitor and improve the effectiveness of the COE testing processes. Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborate with development teams, business analysts, and other stakeholders to ensure clear communication and understanding of testing requirements. Provide regular updates on testing progress, issues, and risks to project teams and management. Ability to showcase effectiveness of testing COE to the Management group. Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Extensive experience in quality assurance with a focus on COE setup and management in the insurance domain is must. Proven leadership experience in managing testing teams and projects. Strong understanding of testing methodologies, tools, and best practices. Minimum of 10+ years of experience in software testing, with at least 4+ years in a Test Manager role. In-depth knowledge of various testing methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall). Experience with test management & automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Test bench, tosca, HP QC, Selenium, JMeter, SOAPUI) is a plus.
