Ad Monetization Lead – Mobile Gaming

Responsibilities: Develop and Implement Monetization Strategies: Formulate and execute comprehensive ad monetization strategies for our mobile games. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and marketing, to integrate ad placements seamlessly into the gaming experience. Explore direct partnerships with various ad networks and advertisers (Direct deals) Optimize Ad Inventory: Analyze and optimize ad inventory to maximize revenue while maintaining a positive user experience. Implement A/B testing for different ad formats, placements, and frequency to identify the most effective configurations. Ad Network Management: Evaluate and manage relationships with ad networks, demand-side platforms (DSPs), and other partners to ensure optimal fill rates and eCPM (effective cost per mille). Negotiate and secure favorable deals with advertising partners to enhance revenue opportunities. Data Analysis and Reporting: Utilize analytics tools to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to ad monetization, such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and revenue per user (ARPU). Generate regular reports and insights to inform decision-making and identify areas for improvement. Ad Quality Assurance: Ensure the quality and relevance of ads by monitoring and filtering inappropriate or irrelevant content. Implement measures to prevent ad fraud and maintain a secure and trustworthy ad environment. Stay Informed about Industry Trends: Stay abreast of industry trends, market changes, and emerging technologies related to mobile gaming and ad monetization. Proactively recommend and implement innovative monetization approaches.

Requirements: 2-4 Proven experience in ad monetization, preferably in the mobile gaming industry. Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is an added plus. Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills. Familiarity with mobile ad networks, programmatic advertising, and real-time bidding (RTB). Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Familiarity with mobile ad networks such as Admob, Facebook, IronSource is necessary. Analytical mindset with good communication and interpersonal capabilities, able to work independently. Must be able to prioritize multiple assignments, with a high degree of accuracy and function quickly in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment. Should be proactive with the approach to suggestions, in order to better revenue. Hands on experience towards configuring and managing ads through mediation tools for mobile and online. (Facebook, Ironsource, Admob, DFP, etc.) Should have a keen interest in market research for ad monetization.

Day-to-day actionables: Manage existing Ad Network relationships and accounts. Project and grow revenue for the products that you would handle. Know and execute ad implementation through SDK’s, Tags and API’s. Work with ad networks and internal teams to run successful ad monetization strategies. Manage, report, track & improve metrics for internal stakeholders. Understand revenue trends of networks and suggest changes on apps, to increase revenue. Reach out to potential ad network partners for monetization. Working with marketing team for retention and Customer Lifecycle Management techniques like PNs, Firebase, etc.
